Polly Hedge is a Texas-based mixed media visual artist who is currently completing her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio.  She is a military veteran who served for ten years as a behavioral health specialist in the United States Army.  Drawing from her military experience and personal belief system as a believer in Yeshua (Jesus), Polly seeks to challenge the contemporary religious worldview of the Judeo-Christian faith as it stands today.  Polly grew up in religious environments, but it wasn’t until she experienced a personal relationship with the God of the Bible that she became aware of discrepancies between the word of God and religion’s denominational interpretations of it.  That is when she discovered the need to return to the foundations of her faith.  Using biblical and historical research and Hebrew word studies, her work deals with issues of life rooted in spiritual identity and authority.
